【摘要】:Thistestmethodcanbeusedtodeterminethetotalmercuryconcentrationofanaturalgasstreamdownto0.001x03BC;g/m3.Itcanbeusedtoassesscompliancewithenvironmentalregulations,predictpossibledamagetogasplantequipment,andmonitortheefficiencyofmercuryremovalbeds.Thepreferredsamplingmethodformercurycollectionisonsupportedgoldsorbent,whichallowstheelementtobetrappedandextractedfromtheinterferingmatrixofthegas.Thermaldesorptionofmercuryisperformedbyraisingthetemperatureofthetrapbymeansofanichromewirecoiledaroundit.SinceAFSdemonstrateslowerdetectionlimitsapproaching0.1pg,thistestmethodavoidsdifficultiesassociatedwithprolongedsamplingtime.Saturationofthetrapwithinterferantssuchashydrogensulfide(H2S)isavoided.Averagesamplingcanrangebetween15to30min,orless.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftotalmercuryinnaturalgasstreamsdownto0.001956;g/m3.Itincludesprocedurestobothobtainingarepresentativesampleandtheatomicfluorescencedetectionoftheanalyte.Thisprocedurecanbeappliedforbothorganicandinorganicmercurycompounds.1.2Both,inch-poundandSI(metric)unitsofmeasurementareusedthroughoutthisstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortoitsuse.
