【摘要】:p>TDIisusedmostlyinthepreparationofrigidandsemi-rigidfoamsandadhesives.Isocyanateusehasbeengrowingforthelast20yearsandtheindustrialneedisstillgrowing.Diisocyanatesandpolyisocyanatesareirritantstoskin,eyes,andmucousmembranes.Theyarerecognizedtocauserespiratoryallergicsensitization,asthmaticbronchitis,andacuterespiratoryintoxication(6-9).TheAmericanConferenceofGovernmentalIndustrialHygienists(ACGIH)hasadoptedaThresholdLimitValuex2013;TimeWeightedAverage(TLVx2014;TWA)of0.036mg/m3withaShort-TermExposureLimit(STEL)of0.14mg/m3for2,4-TDI(10).TheOccupationalSafetyandHealthAdministrationoftheU.S.DepartmentofLabor(OSHA)hasapermissibleexposurelimitof0.02ppm(V)or0.14mg/m3ofTDIasaceilinglimitand0.005ppm(V)or0.036mg/m3asatime-weightedaverage(11).Monitoringofrespiratoryandotherproblemsrelatedtodiisocyanatesandpolyisocyanatesisaidedthroughtheutilizationofthistestmethod,duetoitssensitivityandlowvolumerequirements(15L).Itsshortsamplingtimesarecompatiblewiththedurationofmanyindustrialprocessesanditslowquantificationlimitalsosuitstheconcentrationsoftenfoundintheworkingarea.Thesegregatingsamplingdevicepertainingtothisproposedtestmethodphysicallyseparatesgasandaerosolallowingisocyanateconcentrationsinbothphysicalstatestobeobtained,thushelpingintheselectionofventilationsystemsandpersonalprotection.Thistestmethodisusedtomeasuregaseousconcentrationsof2,4-and2,6-TDIinairforworkplaceandambientatmospheres.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofgaseous2,4-toluenediisocyanate(2,4-TDI)and2,6-toluenediisocyanate(2,6-TDI)inairsamplescollectedfromworkplaceandambientatmospheres.1.2Differentialairsamplingisperformedwithasegregatingdevice.,Thegaseousfractioniscollectedonaglassfiberfilter(GFF)impregnatedwith9-(N-methylaminomethyl)anthracene(MAMA).1.3Theanalysisofthegaseousfractionisperformedwithahighperformanceliquidchromatograph(HPLC)equippedwithultraviolet(UV)andfluorescencedetectors.1.4TheanalysisoftheaerosolfractionisperformedseparatelyasdescribedinRef(1).1.5Therangeofapplicationofthistestmethod,utilizingUVandafluorescencedetector,isvalidatedfor0.029to1.16x03BC;gofmonomer2,4-and2,6-TDI/2.0mLofdesorptionsolution,whichcorrespondstoconcentrationsof0.002to0.077mg/m3ofTDIbasedona15-Lairsample.Thiscorrespondsto0.28to11ppb(V)andbracketstheestablishedTLVvalueof5ppb(v).1.6Afieldblanksamplingsystemisusedtocheckthepossibilityofcontaminationduringtheentiresamplingandanalysis.1.7ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.1.8Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
